I wonder about this since blogger is google. Does google prop it up? or does bing push it down for competitive reasons? I get such a absurdly different amount of traffic from it and have much worse search ratings. Is there something that I can do to get more Bing traffic. I guess one other explaination is bing is a much smaller market share but it is 1/28th the size and this is not sufficient to explain the difference.
From my google analytics page for this month:
1. google / organic 1,742
2. youtube.com / referral 739
3. (direct) / (none) 380
.....
14. yahoo / organic 27
.....
20. bing / organic 14
I'm getting similar results, although Bing is not so far down the numbers the results are significantly less for workshopshed.com
ReplyDelete1. google / organic 1,746
2. (direct) / (none) 249
...
6. bing / organic 41
Aficionado.org.uk, which is not connected to blogger or google in anyway.
1. google / organic 1,783
2. (direct) / (none) 118
...
5. bing / organic 31
One experiment you can try is to put the keywords hits from your google analytics into each engine and see what results come up.
ReplyDeleteBing does not do so well for similar words, it can't identify "volt" vs "voltage" but it can get "welding" vs "welded".
Thanks. I will give it a try.
