Klingon Christmas Carol Review (Saint Paul)

Ok, I don't review plays, I was bluffing in the title. I don't go to plays for the most part so I am without a point of reference. What I can say is if you think you would like to see a Klingon version of a Christmas Carol you would enjoy seeing this play. If you think you would not enjoy a Klingon version of a Christmas Carol you would not. Pictured on the right is tiny Klingon tim or should I say TimHom. You have 'till the 12th to do this at the Landmark.

The Hold Steady referencing other bands.

Just was listening to a track from the new album on the radio and heard them reference. Husker Du's- makes no sense. What other songs? especially from the cities.

Almost killed me.
Certain Songs-
"from the meatloafs to the Billy Joels" "only the good die young."Billy Joel- Only The Good Die Young
"D4 is for lovers" (referencing Dillinger four but no specific song)
"Ellen Foley gives 'em hope" "Paradise by the dashboard light" Meatloaf with Ellen Foley Paradise By The Dashboard Light
b1? c-9?

Separation Sunday
Charlemagne in sweetpants. "tramps like us, and we like tramps"- is this a reference to Born to run? "tramps like us. baby we were born to run." you tell me?

Boys and girls in America

Stay positive
constructive summer- "me and my friends are like double whiskey coke no ice" Dillinger Four-Doublewhiskeycokenoice

Heaven is whenever
somewhere in here is reference to Husker Du's Makes No Sense At All

The list is far from finished help me out in the comment section.

custom pet portrait of my dog, framing a greeting card.

share to facebook button I know you all like seeing photos of other peoples pets right? you are the internet and all. This piece of course fits well with the theme of Mike is Bored...now with more black and white

In any event here is a portrait of my dog. Done by my brother. He has done a bunch of these and sells them with printed greeting cards and the original piece. This is one of the greeting cards framed in a cheap IKEA pine frame with a piece of heavy paper cut for the mat I am not using the acrylic it came with. To get a better sense of the quality of the portrait (and to poor quality of the matting) click on the image to enlarge. This is a very cheap way to fill lot of space and all you need is a box cutter.

It is just a word of mouth business at this point but if any loyal (or otherwise) reader is interested email me at: mikeisboredatblogspot@gmail.com and I can get you a quote... I think.

My dog of course is most famous for being featured in: my dog sings Werewolves of London but dog likers might also be interested in skunk costume for my dog.

mall of America bulbs in 3d
My brother took this photo at the Mall of America. I had just seen a cable tv program that talked about how big those bulbs are. To view sit 3' back from your computer and cross your eyes until the images line up.

Northstar Class Action For Student Loan Bonus

I thought going for the little nonprofit lender in my hometown would avoid such things. And what happened is my check months late, had to switch lenders the next year, and now this. Total Higher Education (T.H.E.) was not as great as i hoped.

dyed concrete last supper sculpture

I am not certain what these are made of but in a big overgrown area on Macalester's campus there were a bunch of religious sculptures that seemed to be made of a dyed concrete. I never wandered in before the brush was cleared but I had seen a glimpse of the cross and had thought it was a grave.
